SOP: How to Share All Facebook Assets with Sygnal

Purpose: This guide will show you how to share your Facebook Ad Account, Page, and Dataset access with Sygnal.io all in one spot. You only need to enter Sygnal.io's Business ID once and choose the correct permissions.

Step 1: Log into Facebook Business Manager

  1. Go tohttps://business.facebook.com/settings/partners/ and log in using your Facebook credentials.

Step 2: Add Sygnal.io as a Partner

  1. In Business Settings, go to the Users section on the left panel and click Partners.

  2. Select Add to assign a partner.

  3. Choose Give a Partner Access to Your Assets.

  4. Enter Sygnal.io’s Business ID: 3259308641056179

  5. Click Next.

Step 3: Choose the Assets to Share

  1. Pages:

    • Scroll down to the Pages section.

    • Select the specific Page(s) you want to share.

    • Set permission to Page Insights Analyst (this is the view-only role for Pages).

  2. Ad Accounts:

    • Scroll to the Ad Accounts section.

    • Select the Ad Account(s) you want to share.

    • Choose View Performance only.

  3. Datasets:

    • Scroll to the Data Sources section and select Datasets.

    • Select the Dataset(s) you want to share.

    • Set permission to View Performance only.

  4. Review Permissions:

    • Ensure that each asset has view-only permissions set. There should be no permissions for Manage, Create, or Edit.

Step 4: Confirm and Save

  1. After selecting and setting permissions for each asset, click Save Changes.

  2. Review all shared assets in the confirmation screen to make sure Sygnal.io has view-only access.

  3. Click Done to complete the process.
